Samantha is a solicitor in the Private Client department advising a range of clients including high-net-worth individuals and their families both in the UK and those that are non-UK resident/domiciled.
Samantha has a range of experience in UK tax and estate planning, often with an international element. She drafts wills for clients resident/domiciled in both the UK and overseas, while also advising on a client's domicile status and how this may impact their succession aims and their liability to UK inheritance tax.
She regularly prepares domicile statements for clients and advises on lifetime trusts in order to preserve family wealth, as well as, provides support on post death tax planning.
Samantha regularly advises trustees on their roles and responsibilities and associated trust administration matters, including the preparation of entry, exit, and 10-year anniversary inheritance tax returns.
Samantha also advises on mental capacity matters which includes the preparation of Lasting Powers of Attorney and Living Wills.
