Charlotte Whitworth is a solicitor and Co-Head of Corporate Real Estate. She advises on a wide range of corporate and commercial issues with a particular specialism in corporate real estate matters. Her work has a strong international focus.

She acts on a wide variety of transactional and non-transactional corporate work including mergers and acquisitions, corporate real estate matters and general company law matters.

She focuses on corporate real estate and has deep sector knowledge of the real estate market which is used to her clients' advantage when completing transactions.

Charlotte acts for a number of large property developers, landowners and investors in documenting their joint venture arrangements (including shareholders, LLP, and contractual profit share arrangements). Charlotte also deals with all aspects of corporate wrapper sales and acquisitions.

She takes a commercial and pragmatic approach when assisting clients and delivers tailored advice in a timely manner, while always keeping her clients strategic goals in mind.

Charlotte is the firm's young lawyer representative for the international network Meritas and is on the Meritas Young Lawyer Board.

  • Acting for a retail franchisor on its buy-back acquisition strategy, including acting for the franchisor on business and share purchases for over 100 stores.
  • Advising on the sale of a hotel by way of a share sale and the acquisition of a hotel by way of an asset purchase.
  • Acting on numerous joint venture arrangements including a joint venture between a property developer and landowner for the development of a site in Shoreditch.
  • Advising on the re-structure of a group of property holding companies.
  • Acting on the corporate wrapper acquisition of a £100m commercial let property in London.
  • Acting on numerous purchases via on and offshore corporate structures of existing and pre-development residential and commercial sites and hotels in and around London and the M25 for a listed German fund.
  • Acting for an investment fund on its acquisition of 43 Brook Green, an office building in Hammersmith for an undisclosed sum.
  • Acting on a number of corporate wrapper acquisitions of commercial and residential let properties in central London for international clients.
  • Acting for the administrators on a recent administration of a well-known high street chain.
