Simon is an experienced solicitor who advises high net worth individuals, families and trustees in connection with estate planning and wealth structuring for tax mitigation, succession and asset protection. This will often involve the use of trusts and he is widely experienced in the establishment, administration and restructuring of trusts, both in the UK and offshore.
He acts for domestic UK clients and those with an international dimension, such as UK resident non-domiciled taxpayers, foreign clients with UK assets or those coming to or leaving the UK.
Simon also specialises in the preparation of complex wills for high net worth individuals, often incorporating trusts for asset protection and tax planning purposes, as well as to cater for difficult family situations.
He is a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians and the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
