Liz Palmer:

Liz advises a variety of clients about the establishment and structuring of trusts for the effective devolution of family wealth and tax mitigation. She has particular expertise acting for non-UK resident/domiciled individuals and specialises in the creation of off shore trusts and complex asset structuring for high net worth individuals.

Liz deals with all forms of inheritance tax and capital gains tax planning and also advises on wills and estate planning particularly for clients with interests and connections with the USA.

Liz is dual qualified being a solicitor and Chartered Tax Adviser (member of Chartered Institute of Taxation).


Recent work

  • advising trustees of off shore trusts about resettlement of beneficiaries interests - considering all aspects of UK anti-avoidance tax legislation
  • advising clients with US and UK estates, devising a joint up succession plan and working with US advisors
  • advising non-UK tax resident clients about the tax efficient ownership of UK real estate
  • advising clients about the implications of the Annual Tax on Enveloped Dwellings and associated issues

Random fact

Liz is a keen cyclist both on and off road (regularly takes on London traffic by cycling to work) and is an optimistic supporter of Charlton Athletic FC.
