Taner Dedezade

Taner cut his teeth in Eastern Europe acting for an Employer in the roads sector in numerous DABs and ICC arbitrations and then went on to represent clients in the road, railway, airport, buildings, dredging and sewerage, energy and dams sectors. Recent highlights, all involving FIDIC Contracts, include:

• Advising in relation to  a US$ 1 billion commercial railway project in the Middle East
• Advising a sub-contractor in relation to an airport dispute in Saudi Arabia with a value of US$ 0.5 billion
• Acting as advocate for a joint venture contractor in DAB, and then ICC arbitration proceedings in relation to a dispute arising out of a sewerage network in Cyprus
• Acting as advocate in relation to a railway project in North Macedonia before a DAB and then engaging personally in complex negotiations with the Deputy Prime Minister to facilitate a favourable settlement
• Acting as advocate for the Employer in relation to a road dispute in Serbia involving the complex valuation of variations
• Preparing DAB referrals:
  • in relation to a water network in Georgia
  • in relation to a WWTP in Georgia
