No More, the charity that campaigns for domestic abuse awareness is hosting its ninth No More Week from the 6 to 12 March 2022.

In support of domestic abuse awareness and its victims, Howard Kennedy has introduced a domestic abuse policy and people manager guidance, which outline the steps the firm may take when responding to cases of domestic abuse. This includes guidance, support and resources available for victims and perpetrators.

With the recent passing of the Domestic Abuse Act 2021 and its new statutory definition, we think it is important to outline the firm's approach to this serious issue. We aim to provide People Managers with practical guidance and training to encourage the disclosure of domestic abuse and identify the support required.

Additionally, the firm has joined Online Safe Spaces, an initiative to provide safe online assistance to domestic abuse victims. It is a safe, secure, online portal which provides immediate non-traceable support for domestic abuse victims, consolidating information whilst protecting victims by having no browsing history and quick exit function.

We're striving for all colleagues to feel comfortable in raising issues of abuse and to be assured that they would be supported.
