London law firm, Howard Kennedy, is pleased to welcome back Kyle Phillips to the firm as he joins the Partnership today.
Kyle joins the Business Crime team from Fieldfisher, where he was a Director, specialising in corporate and financial crime. Kyle has over a decade of experience and was previously a Senior Associate at Howard Kennedy.
Kyle has acted on a wide array of corporate and financial crime investigations relating to bribery and corruption, fraud and money-laundering. Many of his cases often have a complex, multi-jurisdictional aspect involving overseas enforcement agencies. Notably, Kyle has been instructed on several high-profile financial crime investigations including Wirecard, EURIBOR, G4S, Serco, Patisserie Valerie, Harlequin and Forex.
Commenting on his appointment, Ian Ryan, Partner and Head of Business Crime and Regulatory at Howard Kennedy, said: “We're looking forward to having Kyle back as part of the team. He brings a depth of experience advising corporate clients on cross-border financial crime investigations and money laundering. This complements the team's existing expertise advising both corporate clients and senior executives who are facing, or are vulnerable to, a white-collar crime or regulatory investigation. With the increased volatility of the market and continued rapid changes to the regulatory landscape we are confident Kyle will play a key role in ensuring we successfully meet the needs of our clients.”
Kyle Phillips said: “I am delighted to be back at Howard Kennedy and returning to No 1 London Bridge as a Partner. As regulators continue to apply more pressure, it remains imperative that clients are given the best strategic advice with both their preventative and reactive measures. I am delighted that clients will be able to benefit from the impressive expertise of the Howard Kennedy team. It's great to be working with Ian again and honing my skills alongside such an eminent leader in the field.”
The Business Crime and Regulatory team at Howard Kennedy provides a first-rate service to corporates and senior executives and is recognised in all the legal directories. Previous work includes significant involvement in the SFO Patisserie Valerie, EURIBOR, Tesco, Rolls Royce and Vincent Tchenguiz investigations, alongside a range of multinational corporates, banks and high net worth individuals.
