"Three colleagues meeting with one taking writing.

Howard Kennedy acted for Durite, the the UK’s leading brand in Vehicle Safety, Lighting and Auto Electrical parts for commercial vehicles and general automotive aftermarket, on its sale to Safe Fleet, a global leader in fleet safety solutions headquartered in Belton, Missouri, USA. This was Safe Fleet’s first acquisition in Europe and adding Durite to the Safe Fleet brand portfolio gives them a strong foothold in the European commercial vehicle market.

The Howard Kennedy team was led by Corporate Partner Paul Glassberg, alongside Head of Business and Property Taxes Leigh Sayliss, Legal Director Ian Scott, Associate Nisha Ladha, Solicitor Ko Eun Choi and Paralegal Emily Malster.

Partner Paul Glassberg who led the sale commented: "This was an impressive transaction for the Durite team and we are really excited to have been a part of the next stage in the strategic development of our long-standing client Durite. We are delighted for our client to be joining a prestigious company and are pleased to have delivered what would usually take a few months, in just a few weeks."

Durite Director Steven Fobel commented: "Howard Kennedy have been a supportive adviser over many years. They provided excellent legal advice and support on the cross-border sale of the company over a very tight timetable and with a lot of transactional complexity."
