Jim Fairlie is a trainee solicitor in the Employment team. He acts on a variety of employment law related matters, assisting clients in both contentious and non-contentious areas.
Jim assists clients with bringing and defending claims in the Employment Tribunal and has experience in Employment Tribunal litigation.
He also advises clients on a wide range of employment issues, from day-to-day HR matters, to discrimination, unfair dismissal, redundancy and termination issues. This includes advising clients on the drafting and negotiation of employment contracts and settlement agreements as well as staff handbooks and policies.
Beyond his day-to-day work in the Employment team, Jim takes an active role in Howard Kennedy's IGNITE sector group, which focuses on helping start-up firms in their journey to success.
