Jenna Volkwyn is an international construction and engineering solicitor with experience in complex disputes across various jurisdictions.

Jenna specialises in the resolution and avoidance of disputes arising out of construction and engineering matters relating to renewable energy projects, large power plant projects, civil infrastructure projects and building projects.

She has represented employers, contractors and consultants in Africa, the Middle East and the United Kingdom. Jenna has experience with FIDIC, NEC, JCT and other bespoke construction contracts. 

Jenna is a dual qualified lawyer in South Africa and England and Wales.

  • Represented a large UK developer in adjudication defending various claims relating to a sizeable development in London. 
  • Represented an international joint venture contractor in settlement discussions relating to the termination of an LNG project in Mozambique. 
  • Advised a large UK developer relating to extension of time and loss and expense claims made by its contractor in relation to the construction of high-value care homes in London. 
  • Represented a large international company in an LCIA arbitration relating to a large infrastructure project in Iraq.
  • Represented a company in adjudication relating to various claims arising out of an anaerobic food waste plant project in the UK.
  • Represented a UK power company in an adjudication defending various claims made by its contractor on a power plant project in the UK.
  • Represented a Qatari contractor in relation to a bespoke design services contract relating to an underground railway link in Qatar.
  • Advised a construction contractor on various claims in relation to a combined cycle power plant in Ghana and representing them in an ICC arbitration. 

Did you know

Jenna played the drums and piano throughout school and university. She has also flown a helicopter and a fixed-wing plane.
