Howard Kennedy is pleased to announce that it has successfully advised City & Docklands on its equity partnership with Housing Growth Partnership (HGP) on a flagship regeneration scheme at North Kensington Gate, a gateway regeneration site within the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC) regeneration area.

North Kensington Gate will see City & Docklands and HGP develop 208 homes, including 58 affordable homes, in a scheme ranging from 7 to 24 storeys.

The HK team, lead by Jane Brassington, Najma Dunnett and Astrid Stanley, was a cross department collaboration of the corporate, real estate, construction and banking teams. In addition to advising on the equity partnership, Howard Kennedy also advised City & Docklands around the refinancing of the North Kensington Gateway project which resulted in Cheyne Capital Real Estate committing £73 million of development debt. Howard Kennedy also advised City & Docklands on the commercial building contracts and associated construction contracts.

Jane Brassington, Legal Director in Howard Kennedy’s Corporate practice said: “We are pleased to have advised long standing client City & Docklands on this exciting redevelopment which will lead to many new homes and regenerate an existing site. The Howard Kennedy team pulled together to advise on all aspects of the transaction and we look forward to seeing the project develop.”
