Will primarily acts for real estate developers, investors, lenders and borrowers on a broad range of real estate matters. Will has experience in: high-value sales and purchases of single and multi-let properties across a range of sectors; complex conditional sale/purchase agreements and agreements for lease; overage agreements; high-value letting transactions; business lease renewals on behalf of landlords and tenants; energy transactions; real estate financing transactions for both lenders and borrowers; and Sharia-compliant financings.
Will works with clients to achieve their commercial objectives and is able to provide clients with clear and concise advice. Will can assist clients throughout the life-cycle of a transaction from initial heads of terms discussions to post-completion matters and everything in between.
- Acted on the £11m purchase of a shopping centre (with a GDV of £130m) on behalf of a non-institutional client.
- Managed the £56m acquisition of three industrial units forming part of land designated for the proposed third runway at Heathrow.
- Acted for an investor landlord (with a co-seller) on the £6m conditional sale of property to a residential developer.
- Acted on the grant of a new lease to an international shipping operator reserving a rent of £3.5m pa.
- Acted on the £26m purchase of a retail park forming part of a wider-site.
- Acted on the £18m purchase of a care home on behalf of an institutional investor.
- Acted for a co-working space operator taking a 25-year lease of central-London office space.
- Worked as part of a team on the financing of a portfolio of student accommodation properties.
- Managed a team on the £13m acquisition of a portfolio of mixed-use West-End properties by a high-net worth individual.
