Did you know
Thomas Wood is an Associate in our Commercial Dispute Resolution team, with a particular focus on restructuring and insolvency matters.
He advises insolvency practitioners, creditors, boards and other stakeholders on contentious and non-contentious issues arising from financial distress, cross-border insolvency and corporate recovery.
Drawing on the commercial experience he gained before entering the legal profession, Thomas has a particular interest in assisting companies facing financial distress. He brings a practical, business-focused approach to helping clients asses their options, preserve value, and navigate the complexities of an accelerated sale, restructuring, or insolvency.
Prior to joining Howard Kennedy, Thomas spent six years working in business development roles. His experience includes raising venture capital, marketing and selling financially distressed businesses, and valuing intellectual property for tax planning and asset-backed lending.
Originally trained as a biologist, Thomas holds professional qualifications in financial analysis and a post graduate qualification in intellectual property.

Thomas is a lapsed triathlete and very amateur chess player. He is a regular player at a local chess club.
