Thomas Wood is a trainee solicitor in the Banking team.
Thomas is currently a third seat trainee in the Banking and Real Estate Finance team. He assists with a variety of matters for both lender and borrower clients, including security and enforcement, corporate finance, refinancing and redemptions. His work involves facilitating the progression of transactions as well as drafting and reviewing finance documentation. His previous seats were Construction and Mergers & Acquisitions.
Before joining Howard Kennedy, Thomas worked in a number of roles in both innovation and insolvency. He has practical experience of fundraising, valuation, business and asset sales. He is particularly knowledgeable about technology transfer from UK universities and the sale of distressed businesses and their assets.
He is an ex-biologist with professional qualifications in financial analysis.
Thomas is a lapsed triathlete and very amateur chess player. He is a regular player at a local chess club.
