Sian Dewing:


Sian is a member of the firm’s Corporate department and has experience acting on a broad range of company and commercial matters, acting for both public and private companies. Her experience includes mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, general corporate and commercial transactions, company law and corporate finance. Sian also has experience in advising venture capital trusts, on legal aspects as well as providing sponsor services through Howard Kennedy Corporate Services LLP.

Sian speaks French and German and is also a native welsh speaker.

Recent work

  • Advising on the purchase of a relocation services company for a US purchaser for a combined cash and debt consideration of £3.7m with an element of deferred consideration
  • Advising on a joint venture relating to the acquisition of a residential property development site in West London
  • Advising on a series of off-market share buybacks, including financing through a reduction of capital
  • Assisting, in both a legal and sponsor capacity, with various fundraisings through the issue of full prospectuses
  • Incorporating and assisting with a fundraising offer by a new venture capital trust, including advising on eligibility criteria
  • Assisting with a 5-way merger of venture capital trusts.

Random fact

Sian plays the harp and at the age of 10, was one of several harpists who took part in a musical concert in St David’s Hall in Cardiff. Sian later turned her hand to brick laying as part of her Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award.
