Rufus Scholefield is a trainee solicitor in the Private Client team.

Rufus advises on a range of private client work. He has expertise in the administration of high-net-worth estates, including intestacies, for domestic and international clients, and complex cross-border matters. He also has experience in drafting tax-efficient wills, lasting powers of attorney and trust documentation.

Rufus also deals with a broad range of estate and trust-related disputes, including applications for the removal of executors and trustees, trustee-beneficiary disputes, challenges to the validity of wills and claims brought under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.

Accolades

Rufus was selected to be in the LawInSport Mentee Programme. The programme selects 28 young lawyers, from 12 different countries, to be mentored by industry leading sports lawyers early in their careers.

Did you know

Rufus rowed internationally for Team GB. He has rowed across the Atlantic Ocean in the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge, raising £100,000 for Teenage Cancer Trust.
