About

Mike specialises in onshore and offshore Private Wealth matters including succession planning, trust administration and taxation, probate applications and estate administration, as well as drafting and preparing trusts, wills and lasting powers of attorney.

Mike offers wholistic advice on the various elements of Private Wealth he practices:

  • To individuals on the creation of different types of trusts, the UK tax implications of such creation, along with all ancillary and related tasks such as registration with the Trust Registration Service or ensuring assets are correctly transferred into the names of the Trustees;
  • To individuals on the drafting of their Wills, perhaps with offshore elements and/or trust structures built within, to ensure security and peace of mind for the client but providing the required flexibility for non-restrictive intergenerational planning;
  • To trustees that require assistance with specific issues within their role such as tax or general compliance with the trust's mechanics, but also general and continuing support for the administration of the trust;
  • To executors or administrators who require assistance with a deceased person's estate. This service can range from dealing with every aspect of the estate, allowing the client to retreat from the frontline of the work during what might be a difficult time, or it can be having us on hand to assist in the process where required;
  • To individuals who require advice on and assistance with the preparation of lasting powers of attorney.

Mike often uses his contacts from related fields to ensure all angles of any planning is duly covered and explained to the client in ways that can be understood.
