Julia Norris is an associate in the Wealth and Succession Team whose expertise lies in advising a wide range of UK and international clients on matters such as tax and succession planning and estate administration.

Julia's work involves a broad range of private client work, and includes:

  • Advising Personal Representatives on the administration of high-value complex estates, often with international elements.
  • Assisting clients with the creation, administration and winding up of trust structures.
  • Advising individuals and families on succession planning to assist with passing wealth down to younger generations in a tax-efficient manner.
  • The preparation of Wills and Letters of Wishes.
  • The preparation of Lasting Powers of Attorney and registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney.
Recent work

  • Advising on an application for a Grant Ad Colligenda Bona where the sale of a company the testator was a majority shareholder in had been agreed shortly prior to death and a Grant of Probate was urgently required to complete the sale.
  • Assisting with the administration of a complex trust structure, including the preparation of cashflows, running costs schedules and documentation relating to capital reductions and loans between trust sub-funds.
  • Advising the executor of a multi-jurisdictional estate on the applicability of the English intestacy rules to the testator's estate as a result of a partial intestacy.
