Jessie joined the Employment Team from a leading regional firm where she gained experience working with employers across various sectors.
She advises on a wide variety of employment law issues, including day to day HR queries, holiday pay issues, managing sickness absence, disciplinary and grievance procedures, performance management processes, family friendly rights, employment status and redundancies.
She also assists individuals, helping them to understand their rights and to achieve the best possible outcome in their circumstances. She advises on the terms of settlement agreements and where necessary, helps employees to obtain a suitable exit package.
Jessie regularly reviews and drafts employment documentation, including contracts for junior and senior employees, consultancy agreements and staff handbooks.
She also assists her corporate colleagues with the employment aspects of transactions.
In addition, Jessie has experience in dealing with contentious matters, assisting clients in bringing and defending employment tribunal claims.
Jessie is a keen traveler and is slowly working her way around the world... She travels as often as she can. To date this has included a road trip across America, exploring central/eastern Australia, visiting Vietnam and Cambodia and various countries across Europe.
