Georgia Learoyd is an Associate specialising in white collar crime and regulatory investigations and enforcement. She advises individuals, regulated professionals and corporate clients in criminal and regulatory matters.

Georgia represents clients in criminal proceedings and investigations involving a range of enforcement agencies and regulators including the SFO, SRA, Charity Commission, Insolvency Service, CPS and Local Authorities. She advises clients throughout the lifecycle of investigations from initial engagement through to interviews and enforcement action.

Georgia acts in matters involving complex financial crime and other white collar offences, as well as regulatory crime investigations and prosecutions. She is presently acting for Ramon Labiaga in the Glencore bribery trial due to start at Southwark CC in October 2027.

A significant part of Georgia's practice also focuses on regulatory and disciplinary matters, including investigations concerning professional conduct and alleged breaches of regulatory obligations.

Georgia has completed a secondment at Protect, the UK's leading whistleblowing charity, where she advised whistleblowers on making protected disclosures and raising concerns relating to misconduct, regulatory breaches and malpractice with appropriate regulators and enforcement agencies.

Georgia is a member of the Young Fraud Lawyers Association, the Female Fraud Forum and the Association of Regulatory and Disciplinary Lawyers.

  • Currently representing Ramon Labiaga in the Glencore bribery trial due to start at Southwark CC in October 2027.
  • Represented the general counsel of a large international company in relation to an investigation by the Solicitors Regulatory Authority for allegations of providing misleading information during an internal investigation and employment proceedings (cross-border matter).
  • Represented a law firm partner in relation to alleged breaches of their professional duties linked to their involvement in two politically connected cases (cross-border matter).
  • Represented a law firm partner in relation to an investigation by the Solicitors Regulatory Authority into alleged sexual misconduct (cross-border matter).
  • Represented an architect subject to an investigation by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) for an alleged breach of the RIBA Code of Conduct.
  • Advised various food and business companies on criminal investigations by Local Authorities for breaches of health and safety, food safety and breaches of enforcement notices.
  • Advised multiple retail and leisure companies on HSE reporting obligations following serious incidents at locations owned or controlled by each client.
  • Advised a faith-based charity in relation to an investigation by the Charity Commission into safe-guarding concerns and alleged financial misconduct.
  • Acted for a large organisation to undertake an internal investigation concerning potential criminal wrongdoing in relation to the management of investment funds.
