Specialising in onshore and offshore logistics, investment, petroleum retail and general real estate-backed transactions, Ellis focuses on handling multi-jurisdictional transactions and large projects of up to £1.1bn. His work includes motorway service and petrol forecourt portfolios, large sheds, logistics facilities and retail parks for UK and offshore private funds, institutional investors and industry-leading clients. Ellis also specialises in head office acquisitions and disposals.
Recognised as a leading individual by Chambers and Partners, he has had numerous articles published in legal journals and publications, including Property Law Journal. He also occasionally appears as a guest lecturer as Nottingham Trent University.
Outside work, Ellis has always been a keen sportsman and musician. At the age of 13, he won a scholarship to study at the Royal College of Music in London, where he spent four years at the Junior Department before studying law at university.
He currently holds an ERCA (level 2) rugby coaching qualification and spends his spare time coaching at Southwell Rugby Club.
