Caroline Urban

Caroline is a corporate lawyer focussing on small to midsized businesses and advising them on their fundraising, acquisitions, group restructuring and exits. 

Caroline has expertise in supporting and advising acquirors and aggregators of businesses nationally and internationally in certain sectors. With this expertise, she has advised a number of roll-ups and buy-and-build companies on their first and subsequent acquisitions and developed bespoke acquisition documentation to encourage efficient processes.

Caroline has also collaborated with a number of entrepreneurial, startup and incubator programmes providing legal support early on in a startup’s journey and helping founders understand the early stages of their growth journey. Supporting these programmes allows Caroline to advise businesses on their fundraising journey and ultimate exit to strategic or financial acquirers.

Caroline gets to know her clients well and in many instances becomes a trusted advisor, being a sounding board not just for acquisitions for overall business expansion matters.

Being German, Caroline is a believer in the British / German relationship and has for many years been a committee member of the London Committee for the British Chamber of Commerce in Germany. In this capacity, she supports and attends events focused on British / German trade relationships. Her fluency in German further enhances her ability to advise German-speaking clients and strengthens her contribution to Howard Kennedy’s German International Desk.
