Ensuring the Howard Kennedy experience for clients, visitors and staff is pleasant, safe, comfortable and compliant, Alan Hutchinson leads the Facilities team which encompasses a variety of service lines.

Alan has been in the Workplace and Facilities Management industry for over 30 years. Over that time, he has managed numerous projects from full office fit outs to major relocations, introduced changes to ways of working and designed service models for the delivery of consistent and client focused facilities services. He has organised the procurement of contracts big and small and maintained high standards of service and compliance through focused facilities teams.

As the Facilities Director at Howard Kennedy, Alan brings efficiency into the business, not only for its people but for the clients too. From managing the front of house services hospitality and reception, to back of house functions such as document services, records and archives, building maintenance, housekeeping, health, safety and environment, and business continuity.

A key focus for Alan is to ensure processes and procedures are appropriate and made better and simpler, to reduce our waste and energy use and ensure value is derived from all our contractors and suppliers. Acknowledging that sustainability is another key area of focus, reducing, re-using and recycling are themes that are central to all our operations and procurement decisions.
