Adam Fellows:

Trainee Solicitor

Adam Fellows is a second year trainee solicitor currently sitting within the Media Litigation team.

Adam is currently undertaking his fourth seat which is with our Media Litigation team.

He has previously undertaken seats in the Private Client, Real Estate (Investment, Landlord and Tenant) and Immigration teams, and has experience in the full spread of work that those teams undertake. He also provides trainee support to the Private Wealth sector group.

Adam is also involved with the Toynbee Hall and LawWorks probono programme and the Editorial Board for our trainee social media channels.

Before joining Howard Kennedy, Adam worked as a Legal Editor for a web-based start-up publishing company called FromCounsel. The service was set up to provide a comprehensive knowledge service for practitioners in corporate law, with the commentary provided in a Q&A format and relevant legislation integrated into the commentary. In his role as Legal Editor, it was his job to make sure that the content was formatted into the correct style for upload. He also led on the legislation project, editing and updating the legislation for use on the website.

Recent work

  • Assisting the partner and Counsel during a high-profile Inquiry where we act for a core participant.
  • Advising clients on their immigration options and preparing all aspects of their Home Office applications.
  • Researching and preparing advice for fee-earners on tax consequences for putting property in trust and taking it out of trust.
  • Negotiating leases and property licences for clients in both the retail and leisure sector and the investment sector.
  • Assisting in a cross-department matter advising a client on their immigration and tax residence status and next steps.

Random fact

Before working at Howard Kennedy, Adam also worked at Toynbee Hall as their Free Legal Advice Centre supervisor.
