About

Aaliyah Freemantle is a trainee solicitor in the Employment Team. She supports clients with various employment law matters, addressing both contentious and non-contentious areas.

Aaliyah provides guidance to both employers and employees throughout all stages of the employment relationship, from day-to-day HR matters, to discrimination, unfair dismissal, redundancy and termination issues. This encompasses guiding clients through the drafting and negotiation of employment contracts and settlement agreements, as well as the creation of staff handbooks and policies.

Aaliyah has gained experience in both contentious and non-contentious matters through her previous seats in the Real Estate Disputes and Mergers and Acquisitions teams. Additionally, she has substantial experience in transactional work owing to her time as a senior paralegal in the firm's banking and finance team.

Aaliyah adopts a commercial and pragmatic approach, ensuring clients achieve the best possible outcomes.

  • Advised on a £19.5m facility to assist with the purchase of a prime grade A office building by way of a corporate share purchase.
  • Advised a prominent cinema chain on an amendment and restatement of a £30m revolving credit facility.
  • Advised the senior lender on a £38m senior/mezzanine/junior LMA development/refurbishment loan secured over a high-end residential property in Hampstead.
  • Advised a property investor on a £95m senior/mezzanine refinancing of a multi-phased development at the site at Olympic Way, Wembley.
