"Numbers on board.

The Business Crime Team at Howard Kennedy have secured the acquittal of Andreas Hauschild who faced charges of conspiring to manipulate Euribor by the Serious Fraud Office (SFO).

Andreas Hauschild comments:

"I have always maintained my innocence of the charge against me and I am very pleased that today's decision has vindicated my position.  I'm very grateful to the Jury for the dedication and effort that they have put into dealing with my trial.

The last several years has been a difficult time for me and I would like to thank my solicitors Ian Ryan, Melanie Zwennes and Ben Ticehurst along with the rest of the team at Howard Kennedy, and my barristers Duncan Penny QC and Kate Parker, for their professionalism and hard work on my case.

Finally, and most importantly, I would like to thank my wife Marion, my family and all my friends for supporting me throughout this period.  They were there for me when I needed them the most and never lost their belief in me, or my innocence.  I would now ask for my privacy to be respected to enable me to rebuild my life and resume my career."

The preparation for this trial was complex and challenging. It involved detailed analysis of Andreas Hauschild's trading data which was only made available to the defence by the SFO following a defence disclosure request. We are delighted to have secured this victory for our client.
