Howard Kennedy has been named "Lawyer of the Year" for the first time at the annual Variety PROPS Awards.
Now in its 30th year, the PROPS Awards is the UK's longest-standing property awards programme. Since 1992, the Awards have generated over £10 million for Variety, the children's charity that provides practical help to make an immediate difference to disabled and disadvantaged children and young people.
The PROPS Awards has recognised individuals and companies in the property industry who have excelled, and the list of previous winners reads like a "who's who" of the UK property industry. The awards are decided by the Props Committee, which features senior representatives from real estate investors, developers, funders and advisers.
Howard Kennedy was selected from a shortlist which included many of the industry's best-known companies and Partner Nada Jarnaz received the award from the host, rugby legend Martin Bayfield.
Head of the Real Estate department, Julian Hindmarsh, said: "I'm delighted that we have been recognised in this way. The PROPS Awards is one of the industry's most established events, and as well as the honour of having won the award, it's also great that we're involved in raising funds for such a fantastic cause".
