VIEW ALLHoward Kennedy is pleased to announce Marc Naidoo has joined the firm today as a banking and finance partner.
Marc has significant experience representing leading banks, development finance institutions and lenders in cross-border transactions in emerging markets (Africa, Asia and the Middle East). He also has particular knowledge and expertise of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) work and sustainable finance.
Marc joins from McGuireWoods where he was a partner. He was also previously at White & Case.
Marc was previously seconded to the African Development Bank acting on financing transactions across Africa in multiple industry sectors, and Standard Chartered Bank as a founding member of its sustainable finance team.
In addition to various panel speaking engagements within the ESG and African markets, Marc advised the European Commission on aspects of blue finance (emerging area in ESG financing that relates to the ocean and water bodies) and was a contributor to the Abu Dhabi Government’s white paper on sustainable finance. He is listed on The Legal 500 as: “terrific” and “having a knack for simplifying knotty issues and finding practical solutions”.

Marc is the fourth partner to join this year and the 25th partner appointment since the implementation of the firm's growth plan in May 2021.
