Howard Kennedy is proud to announce that the London Solicitors Litigation Association (LSLA) has appointed Nikki Edwards, a partner in the Commercial Dispute Resolution team, as its new President. Nikki succeeds Nicholas Heaton and is set to lead the association for a two-year term.

The LSLA represents over 3,500 civil and commercial litigators who practice litigation in London. With a rich 70-year history, members from diverse legal backgrounds collaborate to help shape civil justice reform and promote best practices in dispute resolution.

Under her leadership, the LSLA will continue to collaborate with the Judiciary, Bar liaison groups and the civil justice council to ensure that London's dispute resolution ecosystem remains adaptive and responsive to emerging trends.

During Nikki's tenure the LSLA will be promoting inclusivity, wellness and diversity within the legal profession. Drawing from her personal background as a female lawyer from a working-class family, Nikki will lead the LSLA as it focuses on the importance of creating opportunities for all, irrespective of individual characteristics.

Commenting on her appointment, Nikki Edwards said:
"I am delighted to be taking over as President of the LSLA, and look forward to leading the organisation as it continues to provide a strong voice on the issues impacting London’s litigation market."
