Howard Kennedy expands construction disputes expertise

Leading London firm Howard Kennedy is delighted to welcome Jeffrey Brown as a partner to the firm’s expanding Construction team, headed by James Stewart.

Jeffrey will enhance the firm’s expertise in arbitration and litigation in construction, engineering and energy.

Jeffrey joins from the London office of Veale Wasbrough Vizards (VWV) and has many years' experience of acting for parties in the construction and energy sectors. Much of Jeffrey’s practice relates to the resolution of disputes by litigation, arbitration, adjudication and mediation. Jeffrey acts for both end users and contractors. An additional area of his expertise is liability insurance, and policy coverage. This will involve acting against insurers who dispute their liability to indemnify.

Jeffrey is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and is also a Chartered Insurer. Jeffrey is also a member of the Society of Construction Law and TeCSA.

Jeffrey has been consistently recognised in a raft of legal publications including Chambers and Partners and the Legal 500, who have paid tribute to Jeffrey’s diligence, depth of knowledge and high level of expertise.
