Howard Kennedy double hire reinforces its leading Private Wealth credentials

Howard Kennedy strengthens its Private Wealth team with two sector specialists as Partners. The London law firm has appointed Katherine Res Pritchard as Partner in the Family practice and John Kiely as Partner in the Immigration practice.

Katherine Res Pritchard is an experienced family lawyer, having practised for over 11 years. Katherine’s particular knowledge lies in cases concerning children. Her expertise includes cross-border disputes involving children, including international relocation cases. Katherine also has considerable experience in child abduction matters, and in representing children as their Solicitor Guardian. She represents clients in proceedings under the inherent jurisdiction, international adoption, and in cases involving the registration and enforcement of foreign contact orders. Katherine also advises on domestic disputes involving children and on issues relating to fertility and surrogacy. 

Katherine joins Howard Kennedy from Vardags, a leading divorce and family law firm, where, most recently, she held the position of Senior Director. Katherine was at Vardags for over four years prior to which she worked at Dawson Cornwell where she began her career. 

John Kiely has over 10 years’ experience advising on a broad range of immigration matters. He assists individuals and families on issues relating to settlement, nationality and European law, as well as applications under the Tier 1 (Investor), Tier 1 (Entrepreneur), Tier 1 (Exceptional Talent) and Start-Up and Innovator routes. John has developed a particular focus on high-net-worth individuals and entrepreneurs. John works closely with third party advisors in the private wealth and tax industries.

John joins Howard Kennedy from Fragomen where, most recently, he held the position of Senior Associate for the last 3 years. John began his career at Fragomen in 2012 and, whilst there, was seconded to The International Family Law Group for three months.
