Howard Kennedy appointed as one of six firms globally to assist the Commonwealth Secretariat with initiatives in 14 developing nations around the world.
We are delighted to announce our appointment as one of six law firms worldwide to support the Commonwealth Pro Bono Centre, an initiative spearheaded by the Commonwealth Secretariat and the Commonwealth Lawyers Association.
The Centre connects legal experts with 14 least-developed Commonwealth countries, offering pro bono advice on legislative drafting, trade, human rights, anti-corruption, and more. This initiative aligns seamlessly with our commitment to ESG, sustainability, and access to justice and follows our significant engagements with the United Nations and the Ocean Risk & Resilience Action Alliance (ORRAA).
The firm's involvement will be led by Partners Marc Naidoo and Mark Stephens CBE, who will oversee matters that match our expertise and as they arise.
