Colin Sawdy joins Howard Kennedy’s IP & Commercial team

Howard Kennedy is pleased to announce that Colin Sawdy will join the firm’s Intellectual Property and Commercial team as a Partner and Head of Trade Marks. Colin joins from Sheridans, where he was a partner for six years. 

As a dual qualified US/UK lawyer, Colin draws on a wide breadth and depth of experience and knowledge and is adept at grappling with complex jurisdictional issues. He is particularly experienced in trade mark registration procedures advising clients on the clearance, filing and management of trade marks and designs, as well as on the enforcement of trade marks, designs and copyright. He is experienced in anti-counterfeiting matters, as well as in handling the intellectual property aspects of corporate transactions. Colin is fluent in Japanese and represents numerous Japanese clients, routinely advising in both written and spoken Japanese on a wide range of intellectual property matters.
