Arish Bharucha joins Howard Kennedy’s Commercial Disputes team

Howard Kennedy is pleased to welcome Arish Bharucha as a Partner in the Commercial Dispute Resolution team and as Chair of the firm’s India Group. Arish joins from boutique dispute resolution firm Cooke, Young & Keidan.

Arish has an established reputation for international arbitration, commercial litigation and civil fraud disputes. He is recognised for international arbitration in the Chambers UK and Legal 500 directories for 2021 and 2020 as well as for commercial litigation in the Legal 500 (2021 and 2020). He has experience in advising clients on complex, high-stakes disputes in a range of industries, including commodities, technology, energy, banking and financial services, and pharmaceuticals. 

Having grown up in India and with close family, friends and professional contacts in the country, Arish has a particular interest in and focus on India-related disputes. He is a regular visitor to the country and maintains a diverse business network both in India and among the wider Indian diaspora in the UK. He will take a leading role in further developing Howard Kennedy’s focus on matters, both contentious and non-contentious, relating to the Indian market.
