Grumpy Cat pounces on sale of T-shirt

A woman from Sydney in Australia has suffered the costly consequence of a rather 'cat-astrophic' mistake. A US$100,000 default judgment was made against her for trademark infringement after she sold a T-shirt featuring an unhappy cat cartoon on her online Redbubble store. The owner of the trademark of internet sensation, Grumpy Cat, brought proceedings against her and over 200 other online sellers for unauthorised products. Grumpy Cat, whose real name was Tardar Sauce, gained internet fame in 2012 thanks to her perpetually grumpy facial expressions (resulting from an underbite and feline dwarfism).
