What did you do prior to joining Howard Kennedy LLP as a trainee?

Prior to becoming a trainee at Howard Kennedy, I worked as a Paralegal in the Howard Kennedy Residential Development & Plot Sales team for 13 months.

What has been your best moment or your biggest challenge during your training contract so far?

My best moment so far has been guiding a group of 200 members and guests of the Lawyers Associated Worldwide (LAW) around the Tower of London – the crown jewels were very impressive and the afternoon gave me a fantastic opportunity to network with international lawyers.

What are your personal interests?

Music (I play the piano and violin), animals (I have a dog and two rescue cats), baking and yoga.

What is your top tip to candidates looking to apply for a training contract at Howard Kennedy LLP?

The best tip I had prior to my interview at Howard Kennedy was to view my nerves as excitement. When I went in to my final interview, with this in mind, I was genuinely excited to sell myself to the interviewers. I would also say, persevere. I initially interviewed for a training contract with Howard Kennedy and was unsuccessful. If you believe somewhere is right for you, don't give up. Do your research, increase your skill set, build your confidence – and try again!
