I graduated with a Law Degree from the University of Essex in 2010. I then completed the LPC at BPP Law School in 2011, and also completed training as a police officer (Special Constable) at the same time. I recently left that role after six and a half years of volunteering.
My most recent role involved working within the Capital Markets industry as an Assistant Transaction Manager, for Intertrust, a leading Corporate Services Provider. My work was varied and involved the setting up of SPVs for a number of securitisation and warehouse transactions, of which some included high profile deals, with SPVs being listed on the London Stock Exchange or Irish Stock Exchange. Prior to this, I worked as an Adjudicator and Mentor at the Financial Ombudsman Service for around three years.
Just before joining Howard Kennedy, I spent three weeks backpacking around Thailand.
Currently, my biggest challenge is reviewing documents for a disclosure task that I am working on for a contentious matter within the Commercial Litigation department. It requires me to review at least 1,000 documents a day, deciding whether they are relevant or not, contain privileged information and keeping an eye out for any potential "smoking guns" that could adversely affect our client. In addition to this, I also have a number of debt matters assigned to me to maintain and progress accordingly.
