David Habbershaw: in loving memory

It is with great sadness that we have to inform you our friend and colleague, David Habbershaw, passed away on Friday 12 February 2021 after contracting COVID-19.

"David Habbershaw.

David was first diagnosed with cancer 13 years ago. He had successfully beaten it for the fourth time in September after receiving pioneering treatment, a testament to his strength and character. He had returned to work, a source of joy for David, but sadly contracted COVID-19 over Christmas.

We appreciate this may come as a shock and we are still coming to terms with the dreadful news. Our thoughts are with David's loved ones and we will do everything we can to support his family at this time.

David joined Howard Kennedy in May 2017 as a Senior Conveyancing Executive before being promoted to Legal Director two years later. In his time with Howard Kennedy, David developed a reputation not only as a highly commercial and trusted legal adviser but, more importantly, as a friend and a gentleman.  David was part of the firm's future leaders programme and epitomised many of the qualities and values that we espouse as a firm. He conducted himself with great humility and humour in spite of his health challenges and the pressures that we all experience.

David will be a huge loss to everyone who knew him, and will be remembered for his support, his ever ready smile, and keen sense of fun.

The family have set up a charity donation page for UCLH in memory of David (click here). If you have a message to pass on to David's family contact Sarah Elazoua.
