Howard Kennedy is pleased to announce that the firm's International Arbitration team has agreed a unique partnership with the Scottish Arbitration Centre to offer administrative services whilst the Centre develops its caseload.
Duncan Bagshaw, partner and Head of International Arbitration, has been appointed to act as the Registrar of the Centre, seconded from his day-to-day role as a leading practitioner in the field, and supported by Howard Kennedy's specialist international arbitration team of lawyers and support staff.
Howard Kennedy's support for the Centre will ensure that the Centre can offer services to the standards of responsiveness and expertise expected by international users and arbitrators, immediately upon opening and whilst it develops its caseload.
Duncan has supported the development of the Scottish Arbitration Centre from an early stage. He has consulted on the drafting of the rules of the Centre, and has worked alongside the Centre and its partners in developing the bespoke software platform which will be available to the Centre's users and arbitrators to provide the best accessibility, security and efficiency in arbitration procedures.
