Extended stay or early check-out? Hotel finance in lockdown and beyond.

Join us, on Tuesday 19 May at 11am, for our first virtual event in the "Online Check-In" hospitality series. Nada Jarnaz of our Hotels team will host a panel of industry experts to discuss the impact of COVID-19 on lenders, borrowers and owners in the hospitality industry.

Like retail, aviation and travel, hospitality and tourism have seen their cash flow dry up almost entirely due to lockdown. Our panel of experts will be looking at how the interruption to the hotels sector is being managed from all perspectives. They will explore the measures taken to avoid the widespread breach of financial covenants and defaults under the term loan facilities which support the sector. They will discuss strategies to stay solvent, like rescheduling debt, deferring/extending repayment terms and capitalising on available fiscal reliefs. The panel will also look forward and discuss how the industry will continue to adapt and change in order to thrive beyond COVID-19.

Howard Kennedy's finance partner, Nada Jarnaz, will be moderating our panel of experts:

  • Guy Phillips, Head of Hotel & Leisure Finance, Santander
  • Hugh Taylor, Chief Executive, Michels & Taylor
  • Tim Stoyle, Head of UK Hotels, Savills

Please RSVP, to attend on Tuesday 19 May at 11am, using the form below and we look forward to seeing you (virtually) then.
