This means despite the current restrictions, the appetite of Asian investors looking to invest into UK property is expected to increase.
We hosted a panel webinar with BDO and Workman to provide firsthand experience about investing in UK real estate by Asian investors.
We were joined by a panel including two Asian real estate investors, who shared insights from their experience of investing in the UK:
John Morton, Surveyor at Gryphon Commercial Property Agent who joined Gryphon in 2016 with a BSc (Hons) Real Estate from the The Royal Agricultural University; qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor in 2018. As a member of the Capital Markets team, he advises on investment and development consultancy, as well as corporate real estate strategy and his clients range from HNW individuals to Prop Cos and developers, and FTSE 100 conglomerates.
Kevin Lin, President of TusPark Holdings (UK), a science and technology service corporation with an investment arm as a venture capital and private equity group fund. TusPark UK has invested £250M+ in Cambridge since 2018 and is part of China's largest family of nearly 300 innovation spaces, present in every major city in China.
Oliver Jackson, Head of UK Investment for Resolution Property who formed the joint venture company Resolution Property Investment Management LLP with Fosun Property to act as Fosun’s exclusive investment manager to invest in value-add real estate opportunities in 14 countries across Europe. Fosun Property is the global real estate investment & management platform of Fosun Group, a leading investment group from China.
