About

Nikki Edwards is a partner in the Commercial Dispute Resolution team. She is a seasoned trial solicitor and a practising mediator, focused on achieving commercial and cost-effective results for her clients worldwide.

Nikki has over 15 years’ experience resolving disputes across various sectors both within the UK and internationally. She has particular experience of dealing with shareholder and company disputes, fraud and dishonesty, complex contractual disputes, negligence and enforcing foreign judgments. 

She has obtained victories for her clients at trials in the Commercial Court and Chancery Division of the High Court as well as the Court of Appeal. Nikki also has wide-ranging experience of dealing with injunctions and other interlocutory orders. However, her primary focus is on achieving successful results for her clients, often acting as a trusted advisor with a view to resolving matters at an early stage. Her experience as a mediator is valuable in this regard. 

As Vice President of the London Solicitors Litigation Association (the LSLA), which has over 3500 members, Nikki helps to shape civil justice reform and promote best practice in litigation in England and Wales. 

Nikki is available to act as a Supervising Solicitor.

  • Acting for an international logistics company in pursuing a former director for breach of fiduciary duty, misappropriation of company funds and receipt of secret profits.
  • Acting for a UK private hospital group in relation to a complex breach of contract and negligence action.
  • Representing a Germany-based minority shareholder in relation to an unfair prejudice claim and s994 petition.
  • Acting for a Hong Kong-based exploration company in successfully resisting an appeal to the High Court pursuant to s68 of the Arbitration Act in respect of an LCIA arbitration award.
  • Acting for a UK PLC investment bank in relation to various contractual claims.
  • Acting for a large insurance company in enforcing a foreign judgment in excess of £20m against 20 international defendant insurers.
  • Acting for the claimants in a multi-party deceit claim.
  • Representing a partner of a top 10 international law firm in negotiating his retirement from the firm.
  • Acting for a group of UK companies in replacing documents on the Companies Register pursuant to s.859N(2) of the Companies Act.
